Art Work of Dr. Scott Arnold
Throughout this website you will find paintings, artwork, and photos by Scott. He
believes that God gives us visual media as a means to convey responses to life, truth,
and revelation. Faith in God is the essential theme of Scott’s artwork. Many of these
were part of his younger adult years, in college as an art major, during seminary and
in the context of serving as a pastor in the urban context of Chicago, Boston,
Providence, and Battle Creek. Scott’s themes also include impressionist paintings of
rivers and ponds. His piece “The Four Seasons” is a graphic design that affirms the
changing states of water within the seasons. His portrait “Jesus of Many Nations”
attempts to show Jesus as a young man whose racial identity could be of many
origins. “Jesus Praying in the Garden of Bricks” shows Jesus as a common man
