“Soul Fruit: Bearning Blessings through Cancer” is an inspirational story of
a father and son who battled cancer, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, This will encourage
and uplift your faith and hope. Soul Fruit is another way of refering the
“Fruit of the Spirit”, Love, joy, peace, faith, hope patience, kindness, goodness,
gentleness, and self-control. This is written by Pastor Scott with contributions
from Thom, and his wife Marilyn. The stories, reflections, pictures and poetry will
move your heart. This also makes a great resource for group study and sharing.
“Come Follow Jesus” is a 10 week/session discipleship guide for churches or
small groups. The main study is from the gospel of Matthew, with special emphasis
on the “Sermon on the Mount”. This “ready to use” study gives background and
outlines, application and provides direct questions to the passage and to the
implications of following Jesus. Two bonus studies are included, “Prayer Evangelism”
and “Called to Grow in God”. This gives additional information for ‘Triad” groups.
“SHINE: A Celebration of Spiritual Gifts” is a ready to use 14 session study on
Spiritual Gifts. Great for individual or group study. Great for a Biblical/topical focus
in worship or Sunday School (the two could be coordinated). Scott Arnold and Brad
Parrish take a close look at what Spiritual Gifts are intended for, how to apply gifts,
what dangers to be careful of, and what we discover from Scripture for the church.
There is more to Spiritual Gifts than mere identification, discernment is needed.
